18 January, 2027 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
This is your opportunity to become involved with the Highbury Players production of …

Sleuth
by Anthony Shaffer
Directed by Ahmed Ali
To be performed from Tuesday 20 April to Saturday 1 May 2027 at 7:30pm.
Successful mystery writer Andrew Wyke is finishing his next novel when his visitor, Milo, arrives. The conversation takes an unexpected turn as Andrew asks about Milo’s plans to marry his wife.
What follows is a tense battle of intelligence, cunning and deception as each man attempts to outwit the other through elaborate mind games.
The Characters
Andrew Wyke – described in the script as a strongly built, tall, fleshy man of 57, gone slightly to seed. His fair hair carries on it the suspicion that chemical aid has been invoked to keep the grey at bay. His face, sourly amused and shadowed with evaded self-knowledge, is beginning to reflect the absence of constant, arduous employment.
Milo Tindle – described in the script as about 35, slim, dark-haired and of medium height. He has a sharp, sallow face alive with a faintly Mediterranean wariness. Everything about him is neat from his exactly parted hair to the squared off white handkerchief in the breast pocket of his suit.
