Three couples. Affairs. Suspicions. Jealousies. Possibly Ayckbourn’s funniest play.
Frank and Fiona are posh; Bob and Teresa are socially a notch below them; William wants to better himself and Mary is humble and nervous. Teresa suspects Bob of having an affair, which he is; William suspects Mary of having an affair which she isn’t; Frank does not suspect Fiona is having an affair which she is. Full of Ayckbourn’s wit and ingenious staging; confusion and misunderstandings abound.
