Disgruntled war veteran sets out to reform his teenage neighbour

A grumpy, tough-minded and unhappy Korean war veteran Kowalski, against his better judgement, sets out to reform a neighbour’s teenage son Thao, who tries to steal his most treasured possession, a 1972 Gran Torino. He is reluctantly drawn into Thao’s family life and takes steps to protect them from local gangs.
